Fifth-Place Finish Saturday at Dixie for Justin Wakefield
Justin Wakefield returned to Dixie Speedway (GA) on Saturday, May 19th, for his second Crate Late Model race on dirt of the 2012 season. Starting from the 11th position, Wakefield raced the #911 HEROES Tactical machine to a fifth-place finish.
Justin Wakefield
Georgia-native Justin Wakefield has been racing since he was nine years old, turning laps on race tracks in Quarter Midgets. Then, from 1999 to 2003, Wakefield went off the pavement, winning 25 races during his career in various cars on the dirt.
For nine years, Wakefield raced for Jake and Deanna Carswell at Carswell Motorsports, and has won some big races during his career, including an All-Pro event at Greenville-Pickens Speedway (SC) in 2006, the World Crown Super Late Model event at Gresham Motorsports Park (GA) in 2010, and the PASS South Mason-Dixon Meltdown at Newport Speedway (TN).
Wakefield announced in September, 2011, he is returning to his roots to race on the dirt at tracks in his home state of Georgia.
When he isn't racing, Wakefield loves to hunt and spend time with his family.
